Volunteering

These organizations get my time and expertise, which I consider to be quite valuable.

Student Leadership Training Program (SLTP) - I attended this program's leadership conferences from 1993 - 1995 when I was a student in high school; I have had the pleasure of serving on the staff since 1996 and am still involved today. The organization's mission is to empower student leaders, and the program teaches leadership and life skills to secondary school students through a variety of conferences. The results are remarkable--students leave with a massive boost of self-confidence and the skills to make a difference in their schools and communities. SLTP is sponored by the Coalition for the Advancement of Student Activities (CASA).

RAW Art Works - When they say RAW ignites the desire to create and confidence to suceeede, they mean it. I am inspired every time I set foot in their building and feel the energy of this amazing arts and arts therapy organization. RAW not only teaches art, they build-up young people (and everyone they meet). I volunteer with the Project Launch program, which pairs high school students with mentors to help them with finding a college, college applications, financial aid applications, scholarships, and anything else we can help with.

I also serve as an associate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Lynn.
